CHINA LOWERS FEES FOR TRADEMARK REGISTRATIONS
On September 1st 2015, the Chinese Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission entered into agreement about the reduction of fees for applying for a Chinese trademark.
The agreement also changed the fee structure for patents, reduced the fees for copyrighting software and suspended the fees for customs supervision.
The trademark application fees have been reduced with 25%, which means that it is now possible to register at trademark in China for one class for approximately 10.000 DKK.
This is a significant improvement for the Chinese trademark system, which hopefully will lead to more registrations.
